PRESIDENT OBAMA TO THROW OUT CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH ON OPENING DAY
GATES WILL OPEN AT 10 AM FOR OPENING DAY FESTIVITIES
NATIONALS FANS ENCOURAGED TO ARRIVE EARLY DUE TO INCREASED SECURITY AND EXPECTED SOLD OUT CROWD
**Please note that the Nats Express and RFK Parking are no longer available.
March 29, 2010 (Washington, DC) - The Washington Nationals strongly encourage fans to arrive an hour or two hours earlier than normal for the Opening Day contest at Nationals Park due to enhanced security and an expected sold-out crowd. The club will open gates at 10:00am to begin the celebration of the start of the 2010 season. Fans arriving early will enjoy Opening Day festivities, including music, face painters and balloon artists, as well as reduce the risk of waiting in long lines and missing the historic ceremonial first pitch.
· Fans choosing to drive to the ballpark have options ranging from $5 to $40 and are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure they receive a space in their desired zone
· Parking Lots HH and W have been discounted this year to $5 and $10 respectively, creating economic alternatives to the now defunct RFK parking area
· As previously noted at the end of last year, the Nats Express and RFK Parking are no longer available
