What do you do when the Nationals are on a long road trip?
May has the fewest Nationals home games so if you are missing baseball, it is a perfect time to check out the Washington Nationals minor league affiliates.
The closest one in proximity to Washington, DC is the "P-Nats" (Potomac Nationals) in Woodbridge, Virginia. Pfitzner Stadium is only about 30 miles from downtown DC.
Ticket prices range in price from $8-$14 and there are several discounted nights as well. This makes it very affordable to for families and also a good way to introduce the game of baseball to newbies.
Monday home games are Washington Post Dollar Nights and guest get $1 tickets and $1 hot dogs every Monday night at Pfitzner Stadium! Thursday nights offer $1 drinks for "Cheers Thursdays." Salute to Service days are once a month and all Military, police, firefighters and teachers receive FREE admission with ID! There are many other special days so check out the promotions information.
If you cannot make it to Woodbridge, how about checking out the P-Nats brand new LIVE WEB CAM? You are able to watch online and\follow the game from a bird's eye view. Simply logon and click the full-screen icon on the far right of the flash player and catch the action live with the new voice of the Nationals, Will Flemming. [AUDIO].
"The Web cam will remain at home during the P-Nats' next road trip to track and broadcast the installation of the new video board at Pfitzner Stadium. After that, all home and road games will be broadcast with the new Web cam."
