As you know by now, the Washinton Nationals agreed to terms (sources say a $799,000 bonus) with 2010 12th round pick Robbie Ray, a 18-year old LHP from Brentwood High School in Tennessee. Ray most likely fell to the 12th round in the draft because of his strong commitment to continue his education and pitch at the University of Arkansas.

Nats News Network and many Nats fans witnessed the Nationals full court press on Ray Saturday night, August 14 when Robbie and his family enjoyed a Diamondbacks v. Nationals game with the Lerner family in the President's Club seats.  Nationals President Stan Kasten and General Manager Mike Rizzo also visited with him at Nationals Park.

Robbie Ray was easy to recognize wearing a white #3 home Nationals jersey with "Ray" on the back. He was gracious with the fans that went up to talk with him and wore a big smile all night.  Welcome to Washington Robbie

Please see Dave's post about the signing of Robbie Ray for more information.
