Washington Nationals Host Fourth Annual Back-to-School Drive
Benefitting Local D.C. Public Schools
WHAT: The Washington Nationals will host their fourth annual Back-to-School Drive during the weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Fans may donate new school supplies at the Center Field Gates on Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15, from the time gates open through the fourth inning.
Requested supplies include but are not limited to:
- Backpacks
- Calculators
- Composition and spiral notebooks
- Crayons
- Glue sticks
- Loose leaf binders
- New lunchboxes
- Paper
- Pencils
- Pencil boxes
- Pocket folders
- Rulers
The materials collected will benefit District of Columbia Public Schools. This year’s recipients will be Browne and Wheatley Education Campuses.
The 2009 Back-to-School Drive collected more than 5,000 supplies.
