Baseball fans in the DC area - there is fanfest in Ashburn, Virginia tomorrow! The festival is free and open to the public!


The Loudoun Hounds Professional Baseball Club is hosting the inaugural FanFest from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia. The FanFest will be the first major fan-related event for the newest team in the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and the Hounds are coming out of the gates in style.

    Wow, they are already more organized than the major league team that plays some 30 miles away. Release the Hounds, Charles!

    Frank Howard's nickname is "Hondo" not "Hendo".

    Frank Howard was as good or better than all of the great players in the 60's. He would have hit 600 home runs if he had anyone hitting behind him on those bad Senators teams. He was the most feared hitter in baseball. And he was a class act to boot. Frank Howard belongs in the Hall of Fame! His numbers are similar to Jim Rice's. Bob Costas needs to do a biography on Frank so younger fans get to know a real All Star. Older fans would like to see it as well.
