A quick post with a rundown of information for Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Nationals Park.


The Washington Nationals host the Atlanta Braves at 1:05 p.m. with Braves RHP Tommy Hanson facing Nats Southpaw John Lannan.

First Pitch:  Larry King: Legendary CNN broadcaster Larry King will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch to raise awareness for the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, which provides funding for life saving cardiac procedures for individuals who, due to limited means and no insurance, would be otherwise unable to receive life saving treatment. There are also special discounted tickets.

Magnet Giveaway: The first 20,000 fans to enter Nationals Park will receive magnet schedules/car magnets, presented by ExxonMobil.



Saturday Silent Auction:  Washington Nationals Dream Foundation Kiosk.  

Miller Lite Party Nights:  Get a Scoreboard Pavilion ticket and one drink voucher for just $20 ($22 for prime games)! Enjoy Live music and pregame fun and entertainment at the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk. Get a seat at the Scoreboard Pavilion and a free drink at the bar - Coca-Cola product, Dasani water, or beer (with valid ID). Pregame entertainment includes a Live band on Fridays and a DJ on Saturdays. $5 happy hour beers are available from the time the ballpark gates open until the first pitch. In the event of a rain delayed start, happy hour will end two and a half hours after the ballpark gates open.

Support for Japan Relief Efforts:

The team launched a special “text to give” program on Opening Day and will continue to encourage Nationals fans to donate to UNICEF throughout the weekend. By texting JAPAN to 864233, fans can give $10 to relief efforts simply by sending a text message.

In addition, fans can purchase $10 Japan aid tickets for the games on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 and the Nationals will donate $5 from the price of each $10 ticket to UNICEF. Sections eligible for this donation include the Upper Infield Gallery, Upper Outfield Gallery, Outfield Gallery, Lower Rightfield Terrace and Upper Rightfield Terrace. Japan aid tickets can be purchased at the Washington Nationals Main Box Office or online at nationals.com/japanaid.
