UPDATE ON FORMER NATS FAVORITE PLAYER: DMITRI YOUNG (aka Meathook)
According to Panatgraph.com, Dmitri Young was arrested at the Central Illinois Regional Airport by McLean County Sheriff's Department police early Monday on preliminary charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana in Bloomington, Illinois.
Young posted $100 bond and was released from McLean County Jail later Monday. Officials at the jail said he had no court date scheduled.
Young is expcected to return to the opener of the Oakland County Cruisers series at Eastern Michigan University on Friday where he is the Senior Advisor of Baseball Operations for the Cruisers.
Meathook officially retired on March 18, 2010 and is a still a beloved former player of the Washington Nationals. Speaking for many of the citizens of NatsTown, fans hope Dmitri Young can get it together and we wish him all the best.
