The Nationals invited local media to check out all of the enhancements to the ballpark on Wednesday. Visual evidence is the best way to really show the fans so there will be additional posts about PNC Diamond Club renovation and other exciting improvements to Nats Park. This post will focus on the menu changes.
Executive Chef Terrance Louzon of Levy Restaurants introduced the media to menu changes and there are several. The best part of the afternoon was getting a chance to actually taste some of these items and offer opinions to the Levy Restaurants staff. Tough job, but someone has to do it. I can personally recommend the chicken parmasan sandwich, chicken and waffles (although a bit messy) and red velvet cupcakes.
Usually when new items are rolled out, that means that some have to go. That is true in this case. It appears that the meatball sub and cuban sandwich are gone (my husband's two personal favorites). Bullpen Burritos is gone (my favorite). Papa John's is gone.
There are many new items to try this season. Check out the listings and photos below and let us know what you like and don't like after you try them.

My 2 cents...I had a plain slice of the Flippin' Pizza at yesterday's game. It was OK. It wasn't hot like pizza should be, but not bad. Certainly better than those terrible Papa John's mini ones. I probably won't ever get it again, but it wasn't bad enough that I'd tell folks to avoid it.
(Of course, I believe that the only true ballpark food is a Kosher dog with a beer, so who am I to judge!?)
