What's New at Nationals Park for 2010

The Nationals invited local media to check out all of the enhancements to the ballpark before the season started. Visual evidence is the best way to really show the fans so there were separate posts about PNC Diamond Club renovation and new food items and other concession changes. This post will focus on the other exciting improvements to Nats Park.

There are several changes to Nationals Park for the 2010 season.  The Nationals new COO Andrew Feffer (pictured below) provided a brief description of the off-season changes.  Check out the information and photos below and let us know what you think.


SEASON TICKET HOLDER GATE:

-Nationals Season Ticket Holders now have two exclusive entrances at Center
  Field Plaza (one on either side of CF Gate)
-The gates feature their own ticket takers to get into the ballpark faster than ever
-Season Ticket Holders must present their Season Tickets or their Nationals MVP Card
  to enter through this gate




RED PORCH/RED LOFT:
-Drink rails have taken the place of three rows of Red Loft seats
-Two additional rows of seats have been replaced with dining tables and chairs so that
  fans can enjoy unrivaled sightlines overlooking Center Field
-This standing room only area is accessible to any Nationals fan with a ticket for
  that day's game
-New outdoor sitting area and furniture near entrance
-New additions to the Red Porch menu are included in the menu changes post.








MILLER LITE SCOREBOARD WALK:

MillerCoors and Nationals
-MillerCoors has been a team sponsor since the Nationals inaugural season in 2005
-MillerCoors is "an official beer partner of the Washington Nationals"


Miller Lite Party Nights
-Activation: Music, pre-game beer specials and entertainment
-Ticket offer: Scoreboard Pavillion seat and drink voucher for $20 ($22 prime games)
-All Thursday/Friday/Saturday games
-Early gate 2 1/2 hours prior to first pitch (i.e. 4:30 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. start)
-$5 beer, only at Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk
-Hip look with new outdoor lounge furniture, high top tables and umbrellas
-Music - DJ on Thursdays and Saturdays and Band plays on Fridays
-Games: Shuffle board, ring toss, bag ball and corn hole
-Pre-game show hosted at Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk
-Cool down with misting fans (or warm up with portable space heaters)
-Celebrity bartenders and guest appearances
-Social networking


Miller Lite Beerpen
-Adjacent hospitality area with a great view of the field (standing room space)
-Reserved for certain games, but open to fans otherwise


NEW SEATING SECTIONS:

Home Plate Box: Adjacent to the Lexus Presidents seats
     -Cost is $150 per seat
     -Includes one parking pass per four tickets and access to the newly renovated
      PNC Diamond Club

Home Plate Reserved: Adjacent to the PNC Diamond seats
     -Cost is $75 per ticket

Outfield Reserved:
     -LF Box (Sections 103-107), LF Reserved (101-102) and RF Reserved (138-143)
      have been combined to create this new Outfield Reserved Section
     -More than 2,000 seats have been reduced by at least $5
     -Offers additional options for affordable seats ($20 in a full season ticket plan)


DUGOUTS:
The tops of both dugouts were re-painted.
