Washington Nationals Host Sixth Annual
Kids Run the Show Day
Presented by The Washington Post

$1 Kids Tickets are also available for Sunday’s game

The Washington Nationals will host the sixth annual Kids Run the Show Day, presented by The Washington Post, during their game against the Florida Marlins on Sunday, September 12. Kids were invited to fill out and mail in entry forms that ran in The Washington Post and The Express through Wednesday, August 31. Out of the hundreds of entries received, the Nationals selected 20 local children to “run the show” and work various positions at Nationals Park.

Children were selected to fill the following positions:
o Grounds crew member
o Nat Pack member
o Team photographer
o In-stadium host
o Public address (PA) announcer
o Official “play ball” announcer
o Line-up card presenter
o Starting 9 participant
o Ceremonial first pitch honoree
o Reporter
o Television and radio broadcasters (one for each)

The Nationals will also offer $1 tickets for Sunday’s game to children ages 3-12. Fans may purchase up to four tickets for $1 each with the purchase of one full-priced adult ticket in select seating areas. Tickets can either be purchased online at www.nationals.com/specials or at the Box Office on the day of the game and are subject to availability.

TRANSIT ALERT: Nationals fans planning to drive to the ballpark should account for road closures and one way traffic patterns due to the Nation’s Triathlon scheduled in the District this weekend.
